The jacking points that A&P Jim Johnson built to support Vamoose while building the new landing gear are simple J-hooks with an upper extension to pin to the lower wing strut bracket to prevent it from rotating. Simple and strong, and cost almost nothing. The nut on the bolt in the lower wing strut fitting is just there for security...........doesn't need to be tightened; just spin it on by hand to keep the piece from turning under load. |
